Let not, the buggers, off too easily.

Just came back from a short (yet lengthy) trip to Ipoh. Nothing much you can do in ipoh except eat; its supposed to be a stopover location for people travelling thru M'sia rather then a holiday destination, but it was the only place that we could think of that wasnt fully booked, cos we only booked 10 days in advance. We did a daytrip to cameron on the last day since there was really nowhere much to wander.

Booked free&easy through 5stars tours, rather reputable agency, but they screwed the transportation. The first day when we arrived in ipoh by coach, the van that was supposed to turn up to bring us to the hotel did not turn up. Eventually we waited from 5am in the dark in front of a closed 5stars office with stray dogs wandering near us, till we decided to screw the waiting an take a cab to our hotel.

And halfway during my 4-day trip the agent called me and told me our morning ride back to singapore was overbooked and wanted to shift us to the night bus. Like, that was our fault that the bus was overbooked? Like hello, we already confirmed and paid for a morning bus ride back, and now youre telling me the bus is overbooked? As if we dont need to work the next day. Anyway, i passed the phone to my furious dad who did a lot of furious talking which involved something like 'if you dont blardy get us a morning bus back to singapore we're gonna take an SQ flight back and claim from your company' or something along this line. And eventually we got back our morning bus.

So anyway the agent told us we could claim the money for the van that did not send us to the hotel the first day, but we aint gonna go back to the office just to claim petty cash.

It was prolly simple administration problem or miscomm, but i definitedly would not recommend this agent anymore anyway.
