For thee who scorned.

I've given up finally after doing qn 2 of my retardedly tough thermodynamics tutorial, and so here i am stoning at my beautiful screen, slowly breathing in the aromatic air conditioned air of my jwest rented flat, slowly trying to built up this hidden beast called inspiration and finally typing something down on my ever stagnating logspace. It has been a long while since i actually want to blog something unforceful, and i realised that the reason why i have lost the continuity of blogging is maybe because i have not been using my camera often unlike the previous year. It has been a year of ups and plentiful downs but definitely memorable. And year 2 had swept in like an uninvited magic carpet ready to take me on a new journey.

Sometimes i wonder why we do the things we do, why we think the way we think, and wonder why others do the things they do and say the things they say. We think so hard to figure out "are they really that daft or unthoughtful?" when we fail to actually put ourselves into their shoes for the moment and embrace their opinions on the other side. When we hate someone sometimes we must picture ourselves as the other person and figure out why we are so hated. Maybe the person is not himself at the moment. Maybe the person is just not in your league. Maybe one is just sensitive. Or maybe the person is a just real douchebag.

I have my fair share of not getting what i want in life. Sometimes i go out of the way to getting what i want, but end up not only not getting it, but having a grave end eventually. Sometimes life is not about pushing, it's about giving way and giving in. This is not quitting mentality; this is merely allowing nature to ride its own course for you. Eventually we will realise that life does not revolve around you; we are not OF this world but IN this world. We should not only learn to accept what we fail to get, but also appreciate the good that we already have. Only after we do this we can start believing faithfully for what we ought to have. Sometimes good things fall onto our laps when we do not yearn for it.

Ok, i will cease my wise-monk emotional bullcrap for now. Resolutions. For this new academic year, i intend to be more serious in my work, more proficient in my english, 2 times more proficient in my mandarin, 3 times more irritatingly righteous in my ways and 4 times more manly than before. (manly can mean many things)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

On fri i was walking past fullerton with my sis when i heard sudden huge explosions in the vicinity and i was like SHIT WORLD WAR FREAKIN 3 and after that beautiful fireworks lit the sky and then i realised that this year no one jioed me to watch the fireworks festival. So luckily i happened to be around the area.

Couldnt believe my cybershot could take such nice fireworks shots. Cant compare this to real cameras but definitely acceptable no? Who needs a separate camera.

My sisters were bored so they decided that they wanted to walk the Southern Ridges. And they made me and big sis boyfriend tag along.

What comprises the Southern Ridges? You got to be ashamed of yourself. Basically its Kent Ridge --- Canopy Walk --- Horticulture Park --- Telok Blangah Park --- Alexandra Arch --- Henderson Waves --- Faber --- Vivo.

And so we walked. And walked. Then it started raining. (&*$#$*#%*^) But we walked.

View from the canopy walk

Monkeys in trees. Wonder how they can balance their boney asses on the branch.

Faber, Jewel Box.

After which we crawled down the hill towards harboufrount and it was still quite early for dinner, so my sis decided she wanna play board games. So we went to boat quay and we lost our minds so we stepped into mind cafe. My sis didnt know that Settlers cafe was named after a very famous game, so when we started playing she was like ohhhhhh. Mountain ooguay.

We had dinner at this store nearby which sells sharksfin set meals at 6bucks. REAL sharkfin. No kidding. Wasnt too bad. But then again its bad to eat sharksfin; safe the sharks!

We finally ended ourselves at chinasquare. At Oosters Bar. They sell uberrific super potent belgium beer!

Westmalle Trappist, 9+% alcohol.

Kwok, 7+%alcohol, taste like fruit juice.

Rochefort 8, 9+% alcohol. They stopped selling Rochefort 10, which is 12%. For dunno what reason.

Orval, 7+% alcohol.

Town is darn boring, you wont see me there for a while.

There is too much hate in this world. Its easier to hate then to love. More reasons to hate then to love. Hate is so clear. Love is, a blur. Its easier to say i hate that pissbag then i love my mum.

Hate is murder. Lets not be one.
