Super Mushroom.

I like Mushrooms.

Previous saturday

Soccer at NUS. Took a bus and missed the stop which i intended to drop at, only to realise my intended stop was also one stop too late. So i missed two stops. I had to do urban NAVEX yet again and crossed 2 expressways to NUH then to NUS. Only THIN people can do that.

So we played and played and no one got sick. Really.

After the casualty-less game we went to YC's for MUNCHKIN! After reading in-depth on the rules the game suddenly became very rigid. So i propose some new rules!
1) We CAN trade cards in our hand!
2) We CAN steal items during combat
3) Do away with the charity rule thingy, its.. dumb!
4) Cannot see yourself as 'sure lose' then you sian and hence you help other people win
Only biao have not played yet hor.

Previous sunday

Pure evil heart promised not to call me fat and called me out to cityhall with evil ivan, who eventually still called me fat. But i chose to let those 2 delusional munchkins be delusional. Our intention was to play meaningless pool but i gave a suggestion of singing. We ended up in chinatown with sorethroats and expensive tidbits galore. And the tip is, do not ever go Partyworld without the VIP card or you'll eventually pay the same rate even with a 'free 4 hours' coupon. Cheaters!

They had this wall dance thingy show at Raffles City where 2 people abseiled from the top and started dancing on the walls. Quite cool. Like experiencing anti-gravity.

Their background music is even cooler. They had this guy playing a sax. I watched the guy more then those wall crawlers.

And the evil pair missed their last buses.

Previous Monday onwards

On monday i had to OT till 11pm cos we had to send out 2000 letters by the next day afternoon. Thats a record.

My pretty colleague bought this huge wonkabar for me cos she knows im a choc-mon. Yah call me fat, but who cares when you can have pretty stuff from pretty people. Im pretty ok with fat. I even got prawn crackers from another colleague and one colleague wanted to bring me to vivo for ben&jerry's summore. Hahaha!

Tuesday i snapped evil heart for dinner near our office. We went to this chicken rice stall in chinatown with crispy tofu. Damn delicious. One day we all should go there for dinner. Only 2 bucks for chicken rice and 3 bucks for a plate of crispy tofu.

Wednesday i watched PIRATES with biao. I wonder why people say the show was not so good. It was brilliant! Probably becos of Knightley!

Friday i watched Rainey young frolic with Angela ong in a tasteless R21 lesbo film call Spider Lilies. Sometimes i figured it is quite advantageous to have colleagues who are older than you. You get away with stuff. And they are very comfortable with treating their colleagues too! Anyway, it was a 955pm show and a battle of the sleepy-monster, with only the essence of cutesy Rainey to keep me awake. Like biao said before, its just like looking at a baby; she is tooo cute and babyish. She'll probably have the same cute face even at 90 years old! Definitely not for this kind of show. The parts where the girls had to kiss, its like.. ugh.

After the show we headed to Tang Shui Cafe, River Valley road.

Their thick toast is Heavenly. Its definitely thicker than anywhere else. Someone prove me wrong.

Yesterday Saturday

Usual soccer routine at SAV. We started around 9 with impending rain threatening our play. We took advantage of the marvellous weather and kicked for awhile till the drizzle turned to pour, and we had to adjourn to the grandstands. Then, JOEL his majesty arrived. He was relatively punctual! So the rained finally stopped and we resumed play with perfect weather conditions. No one was shacked at all, we played till 2pm!

After lunch, biao, heart, ivan and the "Fit And Thin" guy crossed over to Johore Bahru for our long awaited Seafood! Visit the funtyblog for the pics. Whoever wants a second trip back will have to wait till next month when the seafood in our stomachs have digested. Girls, if you want to go, you organise, and invite US. Hahaha.

MUSHROOM!

Stumped.

My colleagues are hilarious. Outlook express is the new MSN for intra-office chatting.

---------------------------------------------------
I was riding down the escalator at outram mrt after work. A group of foreign students were in front of me, and one of them, an ang moh guy, turned around, smiled and said,

"Ni Hao."

And i said, "Oh.. Ni Hao, ni hao."

And the conversation carried on.

"Ni cong na li lai de?"
"Oh wo shi xing jia po ren."
"Oh. Ni zhuo gong ma?"
"Ah, zhuo gong, zhuo gong,"
"Oh.. Xian zai fang gong ma?"
"Dui, wo fang gong leh,"
"Oh. Ni zhuo she mo gong ne?

I was stumped.

Luckily we were already at the bottom of the escalator and he went off to get a farecard. I hurried for the gate.

How do I say 'Temporary Ex-HR turned office manager's PA cum event helper cum internal despatch office boy" in mandarin?

Munchkin

All must learn this game. Its damn simple, like mahjong! With much lesser rules.

Basically all players are Munchkins, and their objective is to roam in a dungeon full of doors and kill monsters behind those doors! And each monster they kill advances them a physical level, and the player to reach level 10 wins. That's it. Sounds lame? Throw in a few curses, some hilarious bonuses, stupid weapons, plenty of backstabbing and sabohing and screams and laughter and togetherness, and you got the best game around.

The cards involved consists of 2 types. Dungeon cards, and treasure cards. And every munchkin starts off as a physical level 1 classless human.

-------------------------------------------------
Dungeon cards contains race cards, class cards, monsters, curses. And other stuff. A munchkin starts a turn by opening a dungeon card. (Kicking the dungeon door)

When a munchkin encounters a monster he must attempt to kill it. How? By beating its level. Eg. if you are level 5 and the monster is level 4 you win la. You can increase your overall levels by wearing items. Every monster defeated advances a munchkin one physical level. After a monster is defeated, you can take its treasure (treasure cards) One get also get help from another munchkin to defeat a monster. If you cannot defeat a monster you run away or die.

A munchkin can also get cursed after kicking a door, which will cause him some disadvantages.

Race cards allows a munchkin to change race (Elf, dwarf, halfling, human) and class cards allows a munchkin to have a class (wizard, warrior, cleric, thief, classless). Different class/race have different special abilities. Only one race and one class per munchkin, unless you are a 'halfbreed' or 'supermunchkin' (allowed 2 races and 2 classes respectively).
-------------------------------------------------

When you defeat a monster you can take its treasure. Treasure cards contains weapons, items, potions and other stuff. These cards help in increasing the overall level of a munchkin (or maybe the monster!) Eg. You are only level 5, monster is level 9, so you use a 'Staff of Napalm' which is worth 5 bonus, so you got overall level 10, and you win.

-------------------------------------------------

And the fun is not about winning. Its about PREVENTING another munchkin from winning. So if your friend is already physical level 9, all must start to whack him! Either steal his items (thief), curse the bugger (using curse cards), upsize his monster, transform his monster into a bigger monster, give his monster a girlfriend (haha im serious!) steal his level etc. But he might also try to fight back by turning the monster into a parrot or make friends with it.

The fun is up to you!

For our newly Wedded.

On Sat we gathered
at a station so crowed
We said hi
then we fly
to the church which was a thousand miles away
and met Louis Ho, the soccer pro, and it was his big day.
So we sat at our seats, and all was bliss
wedding bells, music, and a hilarious catholic priest
There were people of varying emotions, but singing the same song
The weds, students, relatives, funties, and a desperate bong
Hymn for the soul, finger for the ring
the priest ensured that Louis wasnt sleeping
And then it was over
time for photos
Some headed for Ho and lover
Some headed for nachos.

Lets do radical things.

As the work piles in and you look at your increasing tasklist (some will use 'post-its') it is very natural that one would just wanna throw up. But i suggest blogging as an alternative for throwing up. It is.. less messier. And the cleaner auntie will not k-p at you.

But apparently thats not the reason im bloggin. Im actually quite free now! Quite rare that im free but for now im just waiting for the manager who is waiting for the ED who is waiting for the Master to approve some stuff.

And the way some people assume im so free in the office is somehow hilarious. Just like my sister who is always calling me for funny stuff like:
eg1) Where am I <-- Where am I?? Im in my office in disneyland, where else can i be at 3pm?
eg2) How to turn on my TV
eg3) She drop her phone into a bowl of soup, so how
eg4) Do i have the contact for newyork newyork
eg5) How to increase volume on my other sis lappie

And i remember biao msging me if im free to check up the web for some chim stuff but my phone was down so ya. Heheh

Lets go JB and eat seafood.
