Aftermath of War.
Alas.
War is over. Time for the Aftermath.
Pain, suffering, anguish, hate
Overwhelm us as we stare at fate.
All we do now is burn
Silently awaken as our stomachs churn.
We hope to die but death is no where near
inconsolable, and it is clear
that we can only blame thyselves
for the mess we're in
nothing now can make things clean
when all we see now is sand and dust,
aching inside, cry if we must
when the wrath is upon us
it is how we give in.
But i say no.
The end is still a beginning, hope
is on its way, time to cope
Leave the aftermath behind us
and persevere, all we need is trust
We still are on our feet and we stay that way
Cos we still have each other. Everyday.
My.
My Life yells COOL
My World shouts YAY
My Work screams YAWN
And My Face cries OUCH.
Of Cool.
The past week has been eventful. Prolly a little too eventful to blog a nice sweet entry. That's how the procrastination sets in. It's one ruthless cycle. Like you want to blog bout the past 3 days, but decide to leave it for one more day since the next day will need to be blogged too, and hence the entry tends to drag to a week, and still no entry is up cos you are lazy to blog so many stuffs, and make your own personal 'promise' to blog the following week. The following week comes and still no entry cos you are having more eventful days, no time to talk about the previous week. That is how the mozzies set in.
So now i will not talk about the days chronologically, i will just talk about the places ive been that are cool. Not cos the place is cool but because i am cool and so are the people around me. We are all very cool people. Non-cool people stay away from us and our blogs unless you are cool people like us. Cool, hot and sexy. Did i mention we are cool?
And i will not use pictures in this entry this time, cos i dun think i want to use pictures to explain how exciting my days were (ok im just lazy to upload and i dun have much pics yet either). Blogging requires power. When you blog and have zero readership, you are a peasant. When you blog and have many many pictures and words, and have readership, you are normal. When you dont need pictures up and still have a lot of readership, you are powerful. When you dont even blog for a few days and have overwhelming readership, then you are KING. Dun worry i assure you my pictureless entry will still be exhilarating, exciting and powerful that it'll blow you off your seats like a movie with only words, cos im cool and powerful. (my stupid ego talking, not me)
Amazing how i have not even start my entry proper yet and im already at the 4th para. Maybe there's still hope for blogging inspiration. When you have totally no inspiration, dont blog, really, cos you will end up sitting in front of the com feeling all crabby about what to talk about and you get dulan then you start to talk about daily life a little too coherently till you sound angry idiotic siseding and prolly loserish too. Then people will go to your blog and read it and think you are some kinda loserish siseding idiotic angry fux. Then the bad thing is when the people who visits your blog are those who do not know you at all cos they frog around the web, and they read and start laughly at you and your idiotic posts without feeling bad cos they dont know you. Or worst, people who hates you read your blog and start laughing at you and hating you more, and take your blog as some stress relieving therapeutic blog which cures tension cos they get to laugh at you for free. Which is sooo not good.
Im not saying all this cos im an angry fux myself. Im an extremely happy person thanks. And im cool and so are all my friends, so if you dunno me or hate me then begone you voyeuristic fux. muahahahaahahahaha. I cool, you uncool.
Entry proper now.
JB
I went to JB (its cool) cos i have no money or time to go to Europe like cutie or Honky like Coolhair Ivan or Aussie like Phoenix Jacq, who is Cool cos she has fierce things on her skin. And so i ordered tickets from Tiger Airways for my flight to JB checkpoints and from there i walked to city square for lunch. My flight was quite smooth, i sat one of those new airlines, they are kinda boxish shaped and dun really fly much. Cheap and recommended. And so at city square i went shopping, and i bought 2 blardy adidas sneakers for 100RM (no kidding) and i was happy. Walked around a bit more till its time to fly back home sweet home.
Wala (x2)
Its a darn cool place cos the live band is always good no matter who played. Went with Joyce and Ivan. Its at hollandV and its the most happening bar/restaurant in hollandV (besides fosters) and they have happy hour from opening till 9pm so if you're smart you will come at 8.59 .48secs and call for the waiter to get koniglugwigg/ brandycoke/ vodka sprite/ cosmo/ guiness/ peppermint green tea with pearls and you get another one free. HollandV is full of nice pubs actually, so if walawala is crowded (usually is) dont need go crying around, just hop over to the next one cos they're all the same serving prolly the same kinda drinks just not as cool thats all.
Zouk
It's by far the only place one can think about when its wednesday night cos firstly there's mambo (WAH!) and its ladies' night (FUAH!) so if you think of coming, come earlier to queue so you dun need to play caterpillar with other late people at the entrance. Mambo usually gets packed by 12 so if you wanna be part of the joy and laughter must come before then and squeeze a bit. There will always be a 'laoda' on the platform doing singapore workout and everybody starts following. Sometimes its more fun if you create your own moves and showing off, but beware of smirking passers-by. Phuture is usually very crowdedx10000 and if you manage to get into phuture beware of the outrageous meat-eaters and the occational drunk chinagirl who wants to lie on your chest.
NUS for soccer
My funtygang + ivan's nus friends + nigel's team + weijian & friend = SPARTA!!! Soccer frenzy at nus, with 18 people on the huge court. Total madness. Nus courts are huge so some people might not like it, but apparently its the only place one can find good courts with people willing to play. Makes easier for planning too, the messenger justs sends 'NUS,9AM,SAT,reply pls' and you get replies, dun need go find a place which requires you to write up a whole thousand word essay just to explain the directions to people, especially those who drive. Soccering is cool.
Robertson Walk
It is THE place to watch late night soccer with your beerbellied bros. Huge screens all around and restaurants with tvs, plenty of drunk angmohs and a cosy atmosphere. Cool. It was a ManU/Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea night and the place was wild with the screams of fans. For the earlier match we went to sketches cos there's aircon and cheaper beer. But it closes at 1130 so we had to evacuate to the outside area to smell the secondhand smoke of walking exhaust pipes with hair. But its still cool.
Work
I started work this week monday but only for a few days cos my sis needs extra hands. Somewhere at bukit timah doing admin stuffs like data compiling, document scanning, and blog surfing(<--HAHA) Her boss is ultracool. She speaks perfect mandrin, and she is an angmoh. Like WOW. Went she started spouting cheena it was so so queer and i almost whipped out my cross at her to start exorcism.
Warlords
Went to watch warlords with ivan. Here is my typical MJish review (beware of spoilers):
General's men kena sabohed and killed, so he went to a thieves' village to sised. He saw a women and he was aroused. He met the thief Chief (cool that rhymes) and Chief Bro and they became blood brothers, but so happened that the women is thief Chief's wife. They join the army for money and power, and they go kill many many people till many many people all die, they die, enemies die, everybody die. Thief Chief is good guy so he spare people, but General is evil guy so he kill the people, Chief Bro agrees with General, so Thief Chief very sad. In the end General kills Thief Chief, Chief Bro went crazy so he kills the Chief's wife and the General. The End. Throw in emotions of anger, sadness, confusion, love, betrayal into the above mix, and you get Warlords.
HSBC building
Went for FOC canvassing thingy where we had to help in arranging for a corporate year-end party thingy. We had to move chairs, set tables with cloth and skirting, balloons, arranging drinks and the food, then serve the food. Overall it is quite fun to help out, but there's this irritating event-planner-auntie with her event-planner-chinagirl who gets on our nerves. Ordering us around is fine but at least be courteous about it and be sensitive to out hunger and dont ask us to hurry up and eat when our lunch came late, when you ate macdonalds in front of us earlier while we were starving. We are blardy helping you anyway. And the stupid chinagirl made noise when we had to leave earlier cos we had to meet other people. Not so cool.
Pitstop Cafe
After the canvassing, Joyce, Nigel and I met up with Weijian and Chris for a time of Madness (literally) at pitstop. It was member's night so i need not have to pay for the games, so everybody gets an extra discount! Cool. We went totally mad playing games like uglydoll, then went on to play more calmer games. But still uglydoll rules the night cos we want to get high without alcohol so we played that like 6 times. At the end of the night, joyce was crowned queen of uglydolls by nigel, and of cos he was beaten up by her for that..
Biao's place
Waited so long to play mahjong and finally played mahjong just to lose mahjong. My worst night ever. Congjing was king and will still remain king. Maybe next time we shouldnt jio him. (HAHA) And chrissy joined us this time round but had a minor conflict with the dad, and im glad she was rebellious (rebellious is cool) cos parents should just realise that their kids will someday grow up, its natural, humans grow up, its not abnormal to grow up, we all do that. Haha.
I wonder when will be my next entry.
ok i stagnate again.
really dunno wad to post here, so i'l just procrastinate and be indecisive and inefficient and give an unpunctual entry.
The Past Week, in Abundance.
Existence isRunning the hell of a marathon. Who knew we could complete it with so little training. It was.. the longest episode of internal pain ever. At 17km i grew breathless, and when i reached 21, i was already wondering what in the name of terry fox was i freaking doing there. When half-marathoners have completed their 21km and all happy, the rest of the full-marathoners were x2 more to go. And the knees and feet were already asleep. The rest of the journey was all ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch till the joints were numb till no more ouch but we still ran/walked on. When i reached the finish point at near noon, i felt like i could do fly already! I would do it again next year. Till i have no more knees. This is the way of existence. This is how we stay alive.

BEFORE PICTURE (take note of handsome faces)

AFTER PICTURE (faces are still very handsome, just looked a little shacked, and we gave birth to an extra guy)
Reminiscence isMeeting my primary school long-lost friend whom i had not seen in like 8 years! It has been one incredible reliving-childhood-experience episode after another, but this one seems most surreal. Maybe there's still hope for friendster (or facebook). Wednesday, we met to watch Hitman (The show's all about killing and killing and killing and nudity and more killing). Yihong claims she is a brave non-typical girl but i see her hiding behind her waterbottle most of the time when the hitman guns someone and blood splatters all around. haha.
Then she was supposed to bring me to the most happening exciting spectacularly exhilarating place to have dinner but the rain was in our way so she brought me to another place, which was equally very exciting spectacular and exhilarating. Far east plaza. Wahahahaahaha. eh Far east plaza is exciting ok. We went to Nanbantei Jap Restaurant, serving authentic jap grilled food. Its super cool. The seats surround a huge grill where the chef does his wonders, and an old sensei watches the chef closely at the side, waiting to swat him with his towel if he makes mistakes. Ubercoolness. Yihong is cool.
After that we teleported to a different place, like hiro nakamura. We found ourselves in hollandV. So yihong led me to a cool ice cream place to get me
fat fed. Then we adjourned to walawala, the most bestelestest bar in holland with a live band.
(photos up soon)
Thanks Yihong!
Exuberance isGoing to Mambo @ zouk. It was.. crazzy. And unexpected in the first place. Due to complications i was supposed to go that day wed but abandoned the plan. After walawala yihong said she was heading to zouk. And im like shyt all my frens are there anyways, ivan, chrissy, joycey, and yihong was like go la go la go la follow me there and so i gave up and.. went to zouk. Then i felt silly to say no in the first place. Im a dumdumdum (dum cube).

This is one pleasant picture.
I still dun dig the hand mambo movements. Its all too 'funky' for me.
Funtification isMeeting Chrissy for the 100000000000000000 time since she left for aussie to become a doctor (WAH). Met chrissy, wins, cong and ivan for dinner at cuppage on thursday. Tho she's studying abroad, it seems she's like still here somewhere always turning up to meet us every holiday. Maybe she's not really studying in aussie. She's studying in singapore but hiding somewhere we dont know.. rite chris HAHAha dun blarff us =D

In my 5 years of knowing chrissy, this is our FIRST EVER sole picture.

Krispy Kreme from Aussie. We judge how much chrissy loves us by number of krispy kremes. Chrissy only loves me 2 krispy kremes.
Amusement isGoing out with my ntu mates, Nigel, Chris, Joel, Weijian on friday. We went to watch Golden Compass. I wont comment about it. Disappointing. First we met to borrow books at National Library. Really. No kidding. That sounds like a primary school lie, doest it?? Like when you wanna go to your friend's place to play but you know your mum will send a slipper flying, you'll go "MUM i'm going to the LIBRARY to DO PROJECT!" And so we really went to the library to borrow books. Crazy weijian. hahahahaa. I brought my 'black swan' to read.
Then we watched the
-insert your own adjective- show.
Then like what guys do, we went to play terrorist-shoot-counterterrorist. Joel paired with chris most of the time like always. Still bickering away like always. Wonder whens their wedding
Obligation isHeading to east coast for an army friend's bdae bbq after i left my ntu mates. Felt like since i had the time, then i shudden miss it cos this friend helped me well during service. The bbq was damn stylo. This is the first bbq that i ate crayfish. like wow. Stayed for a while, then my fren drove me off.
Another crazy week.
I completed 42km.
To God be the glory.
Winds.
The winds these days have been pretty strong lately. Watching a strong gale mess up my tables and making things topple as I open my windows, picking things up and putting them back where they came from, only to watch them fall over again when the winds pick up themselves. Watching papers on the noticeboard flutter effortlessly and violently like they long for freedom. Almost being murdered by a flying cardboard picture which landed nicely on my head when i let a bit of speeding air enter the study cos it was stuffy. Its like a supernatural force in itself. The winds make things come to life.
I love the winds blowing strong at my face; the pressure of these speeding air molecules pressing against my soft face at varying forces, lowering the temperature of your countenance at different areas at different times because your face isn't flat, making you feel alive. Winds are powerful. It makes you feel like you're moving at top speed even though you're completely still. Making you feel that you're running a race, but you feel totally energized from it because youre not even using any strength to push yourself. Makes you feel invincible. Makes you feel you can fly.
The winds are powerful. And it has been a powerful week.
Wed
Went to sentosa! Another reliving-childhood-memory episode. Its always great to be a child again, and never let others take away your youth. However though i want to add that youthful does not mean childish, theres a difference! I love places like sentosa, the zoo, birdpark, night safari and whathaveyou. This places are elixirs of youth. We went to underwater world, fort siloso and dolphin's lagoon. Actually we just wanted to go dolphin's lagoon and the rest was just bonuses haha. Apparently underwater world comes with dolphin's lagoon and the holiday rates at the moment for singaporeans are quite cheap now. So ya why not just pay abit more to see some fish before seeing some dolphins? You all know im a fishie, underwater world's my birthplace! Saw a few of my brothers in there, said hi..

"Where for art thou my brothers"
Seriously, who hasnt been into underwater world? For goodness sake, go visit it, youre missing out on life. wahahaah

Joyce craves for kuishinbo crab. This would be one tedious one to peel! I would need an axe instead of scissors.

A hollographic shark. Its for scaring little kids. Sharks are evil!

After the marine lesson we had a history lesson. The couch brought us up to the sites. But it started to rain heavily! Not even my umbrella could help anything. Shows how sad Singapore's history was; even the heavens cry at the tragedies of World War 2.
But when we reached dolphin's lagoon it stopped raining! Thats because dolphins are happy creatures. This time the sun was not shining straight at our view and reflecting of the waters, so we had a crystal clear view of everything. At the front row.

The dolphins doing their tricks. These are just the few that they did. Their most spectacular one was a double backflip! Even monkeys dont do double backflips.

A dolphin kissing a hot chick in bikini. Dolphins are lucky creatures..

And so. What is the female of a peacock? When joyce claimed it was peahen, i was seriously blurrrrr.. And for the record, it is really peahen and i didnt know so ya call me dum square

We didnt want to leave the cute dolphins behind so we adopted one home!

It prefers my cap to my face
I forget to mention we got islander cards so we can just go to sentosa back and forth just like going town lidat. Everybody should get islander cards. Its really worth it. When you get bored with town we can just pop over to sentosa for free!
Thur
Badminton at clementi! With Ntu mates, Joel, Chris, Weijian, Joyce and sexy Nigel. It is always hilarious to have joel and chris around bickering with each other over apparently nothing. They can bicker at almost.. anything. Throw in lets say, peanut butter, if joel says its smooth, chris will definitely say its crunchy! Ok maybe not that bad but its because of this kinda no-link arguments that they conjure up which makes them a perfect couple! haha. Nigel is a badminton player. The way he plays badminton is so damn sexy can. He's number is still on auction! Going currently for $154,728 on ebay.
Friday and Sat i stayed at home. 'Resting'. Loading on carbo. Its time to RUN.
Lord give me strength to finish this run.
Here i go.
